FMFCU has many useful account monitoring resources and action steps shown below. We encourage ALL members to utilize them as needed. Enrolling in these services will provide you additional tools such as email or text alerts to monitor your FMFCU accounts and transactions. Don’t forget to utilize the free Experian IdentityWorks and Identity Restoration offered to you as outlined in your member letter (you’ll need your unique Activation code and Engagement number shown in your letter). For questions with Experian on this offer, call 877-288-8057.
Change Login ID/Password
For peace of mind, periodically change your Digital Banking Login ID and/or password. Do this in either Online Banking or FMFCU’s Mobile App. For users using a browser, you may want to consider always using SAC codes by unregistering your browser to enable them.
Digital Banking Alerts
FMFCU’s built-in Alerts tool in Digital Banking can alert you on specific account transactions (ie. transfers, balance thresholds) and provide security updates (ie. unsuccessful login or invalid login/password attempts).
Freeze Your Credit Report
Restrict access to your credit report with Equifax, Experian, and Transunion. This will make it more difficult for fraudsters to open accounts in your name.
VISA® Fraud Text Alerts
Get a text alert if fraud is suspected on your FMFCU Debit Card. Credit Union members must opt in to this service. Click the button to see how you can register for this invaluable service.
VISA® Purchase Alerts
You’ll get near real-time alerts whenever your purchase meets the criteria you select during enrollment. Also, you can lock your card to prevent VISA transactions and even stop international VISA activity.
Bill Pay and Online Statements
Combat mail fraud by utilizing Bill Pay with included Bill Pay Alerts instead of mailing paper checks. Get statements digitally and eliminate risks of them getting stolen in the mail.
Verify Your Info with FMFCU
In case we need to deliver additional communications and for your security, please verify your contact information in Digital Banking. Once logged in, go to “Menu,” “Settings” and then tap “Update Contact Info.”
Optional Step: You may request changing account numbers on your checking and savings accounts only. To do so, please complete a XXX secured message within Online Banking or FMFCU’s Mobile Banking app, or visit a FMFCU branch. These requests will be completed within 3 business days and will require you to update all direct deposits and recurring payments with your employer and merchants.
