Mortgage Refinancing
Refinancing a current mortgage lowers monthly payments or terms and increases savings. Also, consolidate other debt into one monthly payment or borrow the equity in the home to make home improvements.
FMFCU offer two types of mortgage refinancing:
-
No Cash-Out Refinance
A no cash-out refinance pays off a first mortgage regardless of its age. This option makes it easy to get out of a higher fixed rate or rising adjustable rate mortgage and into a better rate and payment.
-
Cash-Out Refinance
A cash-out refinance pays off more than a first mortgage and is usually used to consolidate a variety of loans. Pay off a home equity loan that was obtained after a home purchase, consolidate high rate credit cards, or use additional cash for home improvements or education. New payment may not be much more and may be even lower than your current payments.
