On Monday, September 21. 2020, Danielle Griffin, FMFCU CSR and Foundation Program Manager, and Rick Durante, Vice President, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility & Government Affairs delivered 200 collected essential items for HEADStrong Foundation . These items were collected during the month of March in the Café. Although the pandemic cancelled plans to package the items during our volunteering event in March, each item will still make a difference for those affected with cancer. HEADStrong is now back in operation and was able to accept the items. HEADStrong President Cheryl Colleluori sends her thanks to all of the FMFCU/SFN employees who made a contribution and asked us to let you know that it makes a difference!
Donations were delivered to Nick’s House in Swarthmore, one of HEADStrong’s programs. Nick’s House provides 2,555 complimentary nights annually for out-of-town cancer patients and their families traveling to the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Nick’s House is not a medical facility but a guest house designed to meet the unique needs of patients, their families and/or caregivers. These essential comfort kits are given to cancer patients throughout the Philadelphia region.
