Please note, if your WECU account is a SHARE DRAFT ACCOUNT, it will convert to an FMFCU FREE CHECKING ACCOUNT.

Congratulations! The FMFCU/WECU merger is now complete and you are officially a Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union member.

All of your checking, savings and loan accounts have been transferred and you may access them immediately using any of the following:

  • Online/Mobile Banking
  • Debit Cards and Digital Wallets
  • ATMs including Co-Op ATMs and Shared Branch locations
  • FMFCU Branches
  • Member Service Center

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO MEMBERS WITH DIRECT DEPOSIT

To help you with the transition, FMFCU will honor your old account numbers for a significant time after the merger on June 1. Therefore, your direct deposits will be received as normal into your new FMFCU accounts.  However, we advise you to provide your new account numbers to your direct deposit originators such as Social Security Administration, employers, etc. as soon as possible.

Register for FMFCU Online/Mobile Banking, Online Statements, Bill Pay and Mobile Check Deposit. FMFCU branches are open and account access, including debit cards, is available.

  • GENERAL QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    When does the WECU member conversion take place?
    Migration of WECU member accounts starts May 31 at 3:30 PM. Accounts are unavailable until June 2.

     

    What about WECU employees at the Wawa branch?
    They are becoming FMFCU employees. The Wawa Branch becomes an FMFCU branch and will be open weekdays 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

     

    What services are affected during the merger?
    The following services ARE NOT available after May 31 at 3:30 PM.

    • Debit Cards
    • ATMs
    • Online/Mobile Banking*
    • Bill Pay*

    *Requires re-enrollment on or after 6/2.

     

    Are member numbers changing?
    Yes, new member numbers will be assigned and come in a separate mailing end of May.

     

    Can existing WECU Checking/Money Market checks still be used or are new checks coming?

    • In May, active WECU members will be mailed a pack of new checks with their new checking/money market account number.
    • DO NOT USE FMFCU checks until on or after June 2.
    • Shred all remaining WECU checks.
    • Members with reoccurring payments or direct deposits should contact merchants and employers to provide new account info starting June 2.
    • WECU checks written prior to the merger will be honored post-merger.

     

    If WECU Checking/Money Market checks were used in the past, can a request for a check image be made?
    To obtain copies of checks with the WECU routing number written before June 1, 2022, contact FMFCU to request it on your behalf. The fee will be waived for 60 days.

     

    Can WECU ATM/Debit Cards still be used or are new ones coming?

    • FMFCU Debit Cards are replacing WECU ATM/Debit Cards. Cards will be sent on May 16. The cards are unavailable for use until June 2.
    • Any member with reoccurring transactions must contact merchants to change their card information.
    • Current ATM cardholders will have $2,500 point-of-sale limit.
    • Current Mastercard debit card holders will have $5,000 point-of-sale limit.
    • The daily limit for ATM withdrawals on the new FMFCU Debit Card is $1,000.

     

    How does an FMFCU Debit Card work?
    Point-of-sale transactions are unlimited and FREE. Members also have unlimited, FREE usage at FMFCU ATMs and a National CO-OP ATM Network (30,000 locations). FMFCU allows withdrawals for four free transactions on your checking and savings account per month for non-FMFCU ATM withdraws. It is $2.00 per transaction thereafter.

     

    What else is changing?
    To support the changes, you should have received with your merger guide, new account agreement & disclosures and fee schedule effective June 1.

     

    Can gift cards still be purchased at the Wawa Red Roof Branch?
    Yes, gift cards are available only at this branch.

     

    What steps should new FMFCU members take?
    Once the merger is complete, WECU members should register for FMFCU Online/Mobile Banking, Online Statements, Bill Pay, and Mobile Check Deposit.

  • ACCOUNT-RELATED QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    What is an ownership share account?
    Every member was given an ownership share savings account. This is a non-transactional, non-dividend bearing account that represents your “ownership” of FMFCU. Most credit unions establish these accounts as part of membership. These accounts will have a $5 Par value as required for your ownership share.

     

    On a joint membership, how are accounts accessed?
    Joint members without their own WECU member number receive a unique member number to access accounts. Joint members also receive an ownership account, but are not required to maintain the Par value.

     

    What if currently a member of both WECU and FMFCU?
    Upon conversion, your WECU accounts are consolidated under your current FMFCU membership.

     

    Are rates, maturity dates, or terms remaining the same on certificates?
    Yes, certificates transfer to FMFCU with no changes whatsoever.

     

    What are FMFCU’s fees?

  • LOANS & MORTGAGES QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    Can loan payments be made the same way?
    Yes, established automated payments will process normally. Members can also download the FMFCU Mobile App, access online banking or visit an FMFCU branch.

     

    Can credit card payments be made the same way?
    For all credit card payments, go to ezcardinfo.com or call 866-604-0380.

     

    Are there any changes on my monthly statement concerning loans?
    Yes, home equity loans have a separate statement from your statement containing your deposit and other loan accounts.

     

    Will there be changes to my WECU Visa credit card?
    No, it remains the same.

     

    What happens if my WECU Visa credit card is lost?
    To report a lost, stolen, or defrauded credits card, call 866-604-0380.

     

    Does FMFCU offer a Visa credit card?
    Yes, FMFCU offers Visa credit cards with rewards options through our partner, Elan Financial Services.

     

    Are there changes to WECU mortgages?
    The conditions of the mortgage remain the same. State Financial Network, LLC. begins servicing the mortgage as of June 30. More information will be sent in a separate mailing mid-May.

     

    Will there be change to how I pay my mortgage?
    Yes, send payments to State Financial Network, 5 Hillman Drive, Suite 300, Chadds Ford, PA 19317-9998. Members can also pay online by signing up through statefinancialnetwork.com. After receiving your first mortgage statement, register for online account access to view complete details of your mortgage.

     

    Can I apply for a loan or mortgage, or refinance my WECU loan or mortgage with FMFCU now?
    Yes, absolutely! New FMFCU members can apply for credit. FMFCU generally offers higher limits than WECU, so ask about them. Apply online and receive an instant decision* on many loans (excluding mortgages). For mortgage pre-approval, visit our Mortgage Center.

     

    *Instant decisions contingent upon member’s submission of all required loan application information, verification and credit approval. The decisioning process is variable due to internet connections, time it takes to complete short application, and error-free data entry.

     

    Are terms and conditions, rates or payment amounts remaining the same on loans?
    Yes, loans transfer to FMFCU and all terms, conditions, rates, and monthly due dates are unchanged.

  • DIGITAL BANKING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    Is re-registering for online banking necessary?
    Yes, unfortunately, there is no way to move your information to FMFCU due to security restrictions protecting your account. However, it’s easy to do and takes only a few minutes. Please note the WECU website will be redirected to fmfcu.org at merger.

     

    Will the joint on an account have to register for online banking?
    Yes, members and joint members need to register to view accounts. Joint members receive their own individual member number with FMFCU.

     

    Does FMFCU have a mobile app?
    Yes, it can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Store. The same login is used for FMFCU Online Banking and Mobile App.

     

    Is re-registering for bill pay necessary?
    Yes, unfortunately, there is no way to move your information to FMFCU due to security restrictions which protect your account. However, it’s easy to do and takes only a few minutes.

     

    Is there a fee to use bill pay?
    If consistently using bill pay, there is no fee. However, if a member is inactive for more than 90 days, a fee incurs unless the member unenrolls.

     

    Is re-registering for online statements necessary?
    Yes, unfortunately, there is no way to move your information to FMFCU due to security restrictions which protect your account. However, it’s easy to do and takes only a few minutes.

     

    Will I have to re-register to deposit checks in the mobile app?
    Yes, unfortunately, there is no way to move your information to FMFCU due to security restrictions which protect your account. However, it’s easy to do with a few clicks.

     

    Will access to prior year statements after conversion be available?
    Yes, up to 5 years of statement information if enrolled in online statements.

     

    Can a cashier’s check be purchased through online banking?
    No, members must visit an FMFCU branch.
