FMFCU Foundation supported multiple efforts for back-to-school season. Fifteen FMFCU employees volunteered at CityTeam Chester filling backpacks with school supplies. CityTeam filled and distributed close to 2,000 backpacks prior to school starting in September.
FMFCU Foundation also donated funds to two local events with the objective to ensure students are prepared as they start the school year. The Back to School Backpack Giveaway in Aldan, PA was hosted by Representative Boyd and Teachers’ Teammates. FMFCU Foundation donated essential funds for the purchase of new school supplies for over 200 students.
The Delaware County Health Department (DCHD) hosted its first Back-to-School Fair in Yeadon, in which FMFCU supported with a cash donation. The fair offered supplies, haircuts, health screenings, and more resources to students.
Through these efforts, FMFCU Foundation impacted thousands of students in our area to start off the school year with essential school supplies they otherwise may have went without.
