Budgeting
Appropriate for high school students, this lesson focuses on establishing short- and long-term financial goals. Emphasis is placed on developing and adhering to a budget. Through a series of exercises and guided discussion, students learn to differentiate between needs and wants and the value of saving by paying themselves first. Students also create a budget to reflect their current financial situation, and learn how to adjust it as situations change.
