  • ACCOUNT-RELATED QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Will my member number change? What if I am a joint member?
In most cases, primary BFCU members will have their oldest account number converted into an FMFCU member number. Joint members, who don’t have a BFCU member number, will be assigned a unique member number to access accounts. All member numbers will be included in the letter with merger guide mailed mid-February.

What if I am currently a member of both BFCU and FMFCU?
Once merger is completed, your BFCU accounts will be consolidated under your current FMFCU membership.

Will I need a new debit card?
Yes, FMFCU debit cards will be replacing all BFCU ATM and debit cards. New cards will be mailed out mid- February, and available for use on March 2. More information to be provided here later and you will receive a separate mailing and instructions with your card(s).

Will I receive new FMFCU checks?
Yes, all BFCU members who have used a check in 2024 or 2025 will receive new FMFCU checks. They will be mailed out shortly after the merger and available for use immediately. BFCU checks will be honored post-merger for approximately six months. We recommend starting to use your new checks and shredding all remaining BFCU checks.

What about ordering cashiers checks in Online or Mobile Banking?
FMFCU does not support cashiers checks in Digital Banking. You may register and use Zelle as an alternative.

  • BRANCH & SERVICE QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Will my local branch stay open?
Phoenixville branch will remain open! However, due to overlapping branch markets, the BFCU branches in West Chester and Westtown will close. Alternative branches are West Chester (nearly across from the old one), Paoli and Newtown Square.

Will I have access to more branches, shared branches or ATMs?
Absolutely! FMFCU has 18 branches, many featuring Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), ATMs, free coin counters and financial services. Co-Op ATMs and shared branch locations are also available across the country. Details and hours are located here: fmfcu.org/branches

  • DIGITAL BANKING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Does FMFCU have a mobile app?
Absolutely. Our highly rated app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Will I need to re-enroll in Digital Banking? If I am a joint member, is this necessary?
Yes, all primary and joint members will need to enroll in FMFCU’s free Digital Banking  or downloading our Mobile Banking App. For complete information on Digital Banking including video tutorials, our digital banking guide.

Tip: Due to account consolidation, you will now see all of your associated accounts in Digital Banking. Organize them by renaming or hiding them.

Is re-registering for Bill Pay, Remote Deposit Capture and Online Statements necessary?
Yes, you will need to enroll in these services within Digital Banking. For added convenience, we recommend saving your current payees from BFCU before February 26 so you can refer to your list when entering them in Bill Pay.

Will access to prior year statements and account history after conversion be available?
While past account history will not be visible in Digital Banking, you can view up to 6 months of statement information upon enrolling in Online Statements.

How do I add FMFCU as the lienholder on my vehicle loan?

  • NCUA INSURANCE COVERAGE INFORMATION

    Will NCUA insurance coverage change?
Your deposits are federally insured by the NCUA for $250,000 per depositor, per ownership category.
