Needs and Wants

Designed for grades four through five, students participating in this lesson are taught to identify and differentiate between needs and wants through situational analysis. Students learn how to responsibly evaluate their decisions and the consequences thereof.

PA Standard:

• 6.1 Scarcity and Choice — Standard 6.1.4.D: Identify why people make a choice, 6.5.1.G: Explain the need to save money, 6.5.1.C: Identify ways to earn money.
