JOHN D. UNANGST MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union Foundation will award five (5) $3,000 John D. Unangst Memorial Scholarships to high school seniors.
The annual scholarship was established in honor of Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union’s longtime President/CEO John D. Unangst, who was passionate about education and served as the first Board President of FMFCU Foundation. John guided FMFCU from a three person organization to over a billion dollar financial institution by the time of his death. John’s commitment to education led to the creation of The Berenstain Bears Financial Literacy Program and the original book, The Berenstain Bears Visit the Credit Union by Mike Berenstain, Bear Country Credit Union financial education center, creation of Student-Operated Credit Union branches in high schools, continuation of Delco Hi-Q Academic Quiz Competition, and the annual Partners in Education Celebration, along with many other programs.
The application period is from September through January each year.
