Chadds Ford, PA – Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union and The Berenstain Bears recently visited Technical College High School (TCHS) Pennock Bridge Campus in West Grove. Four-year-olds in the Child Development Preschool Class enjoyed decorating bear cookies and a reading of The Berenstain Bears Visit the Credit Union book.
In attendance were Leon Spencer (left), FMFCU board member and school-to-career specialist, Jacqueline McAleese, early childhood care teacher, and Brian Hughes, assistant principal.
“FMFCU always appreciates the opportunity to bring Brother and Sister Bear into schools,” said Patricia McAllister, community education manager. “Children really gravitate toward the Bears and are beyond thrilled to play with them.”
The Berenstain Bears Financial Literacy Program (K-3) offers lessons and activities to young children through the Financial Fitness @ School initiative that teaches children the sound money management concept of Save, Share, Spend, and Earn>.
