Online and Mobile Banking July 2020 Enhancements User Guide
PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
A push notification is a message that pops up on a mobile device. Users don’t have to be in the app or using their devices to receive them. When logging in for the first time on the new version of FMFCU’s Mobile Banking app, you will be presented with a one-time ‘speed-bump’.
- “Allow” registers the device ID and enables push for Security Alerts
- “No, Thanks” dismisses the page; nothing registered
- If you delete and re-install the app, you will be presented with this ‘speed bump’ again
NOTE: Only for Apple iOS devices, a prompt will display to allow push notifications for the app. Selecting “Allow” enables them.
Once you’re logged in, on the left navigation Menu, under Settings you will see the new Push Notifications tab. Here, you can enable or disable them. With Push Notifications enabled, head over to the Alerts tab to create new alerts or edit an existing Alert, and choose Push Notification as a delivery method.
ADDING MANUAL ACCOUNTS
Now you can get a better picture of your financial worth by adding assets and debts manually.
- Click on “Link Account” button
- Underneath the Quick Picks, tap the “Get Started” button under Add a Manual Account
- Enter an Account Name, Account Type
- Enter a Balance if needed
- Tap Save
Your new manual accounts will now appear in Net Worth under Financial Tools.
SECURITY ALERTS
FMFCU knows how important the security of your FMFCU accounts is to you. This update offers many new types of Security Alerts to help keep you informed of activity within your Online and Mobile Banking apps. Get notified via push notifications, email, text and more.
Head over to Settings and tap Alerts. Then scroll down to explore all the options available to you. Note: Alerts you currently have set up will remain.
NEW TRANSACTION AND ACTIVITY CENTER “KEBABS”
Now, when you view your transaction activity in an account, or when you’re viewing them in the Activity Center, you’ll see three dots vertically aligned (called a “kebab”) on the right side of every transaction. Additional convenience options are now available in one place!
