October 26, 2001 - FMFCU ANNOUNCES BRANCH OF THE YEAR AND PRESENTS 15 YEAR SERVICE AWARD TO STEVE IKELER

Broomall, PA - Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union (FMFCU) recently named its Riddle Memorial Hospital branch the FMFCU Branch of the Year. The award was presented at the company's Annual In-Service day on October 8, 2001.

The Branch of the Year award, which began in 1988, is based on outstanding member service and performance. "The Riddle Memorial Hospital office was the first branch to receive this honor," acknowledged Cindy Wanamaker, Senior VP of Retail Services. "It is a tribute to both Riddle Hospital, our sponsor, and our staff, that 12 years later, they continue to serve our members well!"

The Riddle Memorial Hospital Branch, which opened in January of 1985, was FMFCU's second branch. This special recognition honors the combined efforts of the entire Riddle branch staff. Peggy Crowley, Branch Manager at Riddle for three years, and a nine-year FMFCU veteran declared that, "earning the Branch of the Year was made possible with the help of a lot of significant people, hard work and dedication. I would like to thank my staff here at the branch, our credit union back office support in Broomall, my Regional Manager, Dan Catamusto, and of course, the dedicated members of FMFCU."

Steve Ikeler, Assistant Vice President of Riddle Memorial Hospital, was also presented the 15 year service award for his continued participation on the Board of Directors of the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union. Steve currently serves as the Board's Vice Chairman. Steve also serves on the Boards of the Rose Tree Media Education Foundation and Delaware County Transportation Management Association, is President of the Media Babe Ruth League, and is a Post Advisor for the Boy Scouts of America Explorers.


October 8, 2001 - GILPIN NAMED EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR

Broomall, PA - Kristin Gilpin, a six-year veteran of the financial industry and current loan officer for the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, was awarded the 2001 Doris Sgro Employee of the Year award at FMFCU’s annual In-Service Day. As part of the Employee of the Year Award, FMFCU donates $500.00 to the recipient’s favorite charity. Gilpin has chosen the Alzheimer's Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania to receive this donation.

“Kristin epitomizes the credit union's credo of offering speed, service and convenience to members. She consistently delivers what members want while serving the cooperative. As one of her peers said, ‘Having such a great loan officer makes our job much easier!’" acknowledged Allan Stevens, Vice President of Lending at FMFCU.

Gilpin, who resides in Malvern, PA, with her husband Glen and dog Bailey, has been with FMFCU since 1998. She began her career with the credit union as an assistant branch manager in the Chadds Ford branch before moving to Broomall as a lending officer. When asked about her award and role at FMFCU, Gilpin had this to say, “Being awarded the Doris Sgro, Employee of the Year award is a tremendous honor. Working in the lending department has allowed me the opportunity to learn a great deal about the lending industry. I have been very fortunate to work with a wonderful group of people who are committed to working as a team.”

January 25, 2001 - CROZER-CHESTER BRANCH OPENS

Chester, PA - Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union has opened a branch at Crozer-Chester Medical Hospital in Upland, PA. The Credit Union branch is located at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center in the first floor of the Old Main Building.

You will find full-service capabilities at the Crozer-Chester branch. Enjoy a full line of deposit and loan products, free Checking account, e-Banking & Bill Payer services, Premier Access Telephone, ATM & debit cards, financial consultant, direct deposit, family membership, mortgage products and more!

January 29, 2001 - KING OF PRUSSIA BRANCH OPENS

King of Prussia, PA - Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union (FMFCU) has proudly opened the doors to a branch location in King of Prussia, PA. The FMFCU branch is located in the Maschellmac Office Complex, ground floor, 1020 First Avenue, King of Prussia. FMFCU has also installed an ATM in the 1000 building of the same complex.

FMFCU's King of Prussia branch has full-service capabilities, including a wide array of financial products and services. Members may take advantage of a free Checking Account, e-Banking & Bill Payer services, Premier Access Telephone, ATM & debit cards, family membership, a full line of deposit and loan products, mortgages, a financial consultant and much more.

The King of Prussia branch recently held their Grand Opening in the Maschellmac Office Complex on Tuesday, January 16 and Thursday, January 18, 2001. Rita Gazzillo, an Aventis Behring employee, had some thoughts to share: “You would be foolish not to take advantage of Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union's benefits. I have transacted major financial business with them and will continue to hold my business there.”
