FMFCU & Education | Partners in Learning®
The need for financial education is underscored in a study released by the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Education in Washington D.C. Of the 4,000 high school seniors tested by the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy in 2004, only 6.1 percent received higher than a "C" and the average score was a failing 52.3 percent. FMFCU's educational programs are among the most innovative of all Pennsylvania credit union education initiatives. Every educational program that FMFCU offers is at no cost to participating schools. These educational programs are non-commercial and are designed to help children make informed financial decisions. Programs and lessons are taught by credit union professionals and certified educators. All programs can supplement or integrate into the school's existing cirriculum. And to meet each individual school's need, all educational activities are customized.
