FMFCU’s Delaware County Excellence in Teaching Guidelines

Any member of the general public is eligible to nominate a teacher. Individuals may only nominate one teacher. Multiple nominations from the same nominator will not be considered.

A judging committee appointed by Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union and Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) will review nominations received by the deadline.

Nominations must be received on the official form. Incomplete nominations will not be accepted.

The committee will select 19 teachers, one from each of the Delaware County school districts served by DCIU, one DCIU teacher, and three non-public school teachers (one elementary, one middle, one high school). If no nomination in a specific category does not meet the judging criteria, no teacher will be selected in that category.

All nominees must be Pennsylvania certified active teachers in a Delaware County public or non-public school and must provide direct instruction to students in a classroom setting.

Nominations will be evaluated on the nominee’s outstanding performance as a classroom teacher and demonstration of a commitment to education that extends beyond the normal job requirements. This includes time and effort on extracurricular projects and activities and acts that benefit children in general.

All submissions are the property of Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union. Information may be used to promote and advertise the award and information may be shared with the nominee.
