FMFCU e-Services | A Great Way to Help the Environment

REASONS WHY GOING GREEN MAKES SENSE

FACT #1

If every member signed up for e-Statements, we would save 1.2 million sheets of paper* or 14.4 trees annually. Or, in other words, for every 2,000 members that sign up for e-Statements annually, we will save a tree.

FACT #2

According to the Credit Union Times, 32% of credit union members don't read their statements so they do it online. If you don't read your paper statements, it makes sense to sign up for e-Statements so in case you do want to read them, you can do it quickly and without looking through the piles of statements in your home.

According to a recent study from Javelin Research², if every U.S. household stopped receiving paper bills and statements, 687,000 tons of paper would be saved every year - enough to circle the Earth 239 times.
